God has brought us together to work at the very heart of our mission: Aliyah. He has not only called us to assist in His divine plan, but has also prepared and equipped us for such a time as this. Today, we are empowered to act swiftly—to save lives like Larisa’s and others just like her, whose hope for the future depends on coming Home to Israel.
When our sister Larisa was recently diagnosed with a life-threatening heart condition, her world seemed to crumble. The coronary bypass surgery she urgently needed was far too risky in Ukraine, and without it, her health would rapidly decline.
Desperate for a solution, Larisa turned to her son Artem, who lived in a distant city. He rushed to her side to support her, but it quickly became clear that her only hope was in Israel. Determined to save his mom, Artem reached out to our Aliyah team.
When we met with Larisa, she was overwhelmed with fear and uncertainty. Because of your unwavering support, our Aliyah team was able to comfort her and immediately spring into action. They worked tirelessly to gather her documents and navigate the complexities of her emergency application.
Today, I am overjoyed to share that Larisa has arrived safely in Haifa, Israel. She is now surrounded by a loving community that is supporting her and helping her prepare for the life-saving surgery she so desperately needs. Although her son remains in Ukraine, he is finally at peace knowing that his mother is in the best place possible.
My family, this is the power of your acts of love and the impact of putting your faith into action. Larisa has returned Home, filled with hope for a brighter future.
