Frequently Asked Questions

What is Christians Care International?

Founded in 1991, Christians Care International (formerly 49:22TRUST) is a charitable organization that brings together Christians from around the world to answer God’s call to support Israel and the Jewish people. We do this by lifting up and restoring hope for impoverished and vulnerable Jews of the former Soviet Union, bringing them closer to God and the Jewish homeland of Israel.

What makes Christians Care International unique?

Christians Care International is the only Christian charitable organization that provides a full continuum of direct support services to impoverished and vulnerable Jews in the former Soviet Union (FSU).

What is ‘aliyah’?

Christians Care International defines “aliyah” in two ways – rising up to Israel; and rising up as a person. CCI believes that in addition to helping Jews make aliyah to Israel, it is equally important to “raise up” the individual so that they can lead healthy, productive lives.

Why does Christians Care International care about Jewish people?

Jews and Christians believe in the same God. Jewish people are called through Abraham to be God’s people and commissioned to extend God’s blessing to the rest of the world (Gen. 12:3). Christians are also “grafted in” (Rom. 11) to God’s people in Jesus Christ and so belong to God’s family together with the Jewish people. Consequently, we share a responsibility of care towards our Jewish brothers and sisters, as part of our common mission to extend God’s blessing to the world around us.

Where does Christians Care International operate?

With administrative offices in the U.K., U.S., and the Netherlands, CCI reaches out to Christians around the world to join hands in supporting and uplifting impoverished Jews. Our direct service programs to support Jewish children, adults and families operate on the ground in the Former Soviet Union and Israel.

Can I donate clothing or other household items?

Unfortunately, we are not able to accept donations of this kind because of the prohibitive cost of shipping items to the regions where our programs operate. You are able to allocate your donation towards the purchase of humanitarian items if you provide us with instructions to do so at the time of your donation.

Can I give to specific person?

Because CCI is a direct service provider, in most cases you can give to a specific person or family receiving our care. The only exception to this would be in our orphan’s programs where equal support is given to every child.

Can I be a volunteer?

We are always looking for ambassadors to help spread the calling for Christians to support Israel and the Jewish people. Please contact us for more information. Unfortunately, we are not able to accept volunteers to work directly in our programs due to confidentiality and security regulations.
